Mission & Outreach Mission Statement
The purpose of the Mission & Outreach Committee is to inspire the evangelism of First United Lutheran Church supporting 
the mission and community outreach and providing leadership to the members and volunteers involved in this ministry.

Worship Services on DVD
Currently we are delivering DVD's of our Sunday Services to:  
Oak Crest Senior Living Center, Lifecare Manor, Sunburst Apartments.  

There is a sign up sheet in the back for volunteers to deliver these DVD's for those that are interested in helping with this outreach ministry. 
 
DVD's can be made upon request.

"Journeying through Grief" series is available for anyone who would like to reach out to a friend or family member grieving the loss of a loved one.  Please contact any Missions and Outreach committee member.
Mission and Outreach meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm.

Blessings X2
Blessing X2 is a ministry that feeds clients in Roseau County forwarded to First Baptist Church in Roseau through Social Sevices.  Once a  month 30 people are fed a meal and given a bag of food to take home.

M&O contributes $50 per month to help support this Roseau based mission and WOW Group of FULC provide a dessert each month and serving support.

The team voted unanimously to support Feed My Lambs International in Mexico with Gary and Minnie Sandman as our partner in the Global category. We’ve committed to $100 per month for this global outreach. 
We continue to support Mark and Danielle Erickson with Chi Alpha in Grand Forks. More Rejoicing Ministries with Travis and Paula Barton has fully transitioned to stateside in Texas. Travis & Paula continue to do a good work in the Colonials and are now able to welcome mission groups for those that are interested
We provide disaster relief to local families for serious illness, fire, accident, etc. Deliver DVD recordings of services to friends & members by request. DVD’s of services are being delivered to: Life Care Manor, Oak Crest and Sunburst.  We continue to support Blessings X 2 and Psalm FM Radio on a monthly basis. We donated $500 to Sunshine House in Grand Forks; with the matching funds this turned into a $1,000 gift. We donated $200 to the Roseau Disaster Fund under the umbrella of Salvation Army; all donations stay local. If you know of anyone who has recently lost a loved one, we invite you to send them the Journeying Through Grief series; the series is free and available in the church office.
Mission Sunday: A few times throughout the year M&O will bring in a mission related speaker and also promote current M&O events. 

Promote First United family events:  Adopt-A-Highway: Our adopted highway is a 2 mile stretch 6 miles west of Roseau with ditch cleaning scheduled for May and again in September. Christmas Caroling in December.

In Reach:
We are grateful for the opportunity to support missions and through them bring God’s Word and good works in our local area and throughout the world. Those missionaries that have come to First United and share with us their mission work so far this year include: Feed My Lambs (Gary Sandman), Chi Alpha (Mark and Danielle Erickson) and More Rejoicing Ministries (Travis and Paula Barton), Eastern European Missions Network: Ukraine (Bob Nordvall) with, and The Gideon’s (Frank Norling).
